Motivation Monday

Well hey there, I’ve been gone a little while now! (WHOOPS!) but I am getting back into the swing of things. I have had a wonderful summer- how has yours been?

So back tracking, something I feel so proud of this summer was gaining some muscle with the use of macro style of eating and heavy weight lifting. I did an awesome macro challenge and weight lifting journey for 3 months- and these are my results! The first picture was April 5th and the last was taken on June 28th. 

   

This is about 6 pounds loss and so much muscle and confidence gained! I couldn’t be happier eating almost 1800 calories a day, lifting weights, and doing minimal cardio exercise. My body has also never been happier. I used to run a lot and thought that would give me muscles, and make me lose weight but generally it broke down my body and I had too many injuries. I’ve never felt stronger!

 

   

If you have ever been curious if counting macros work- then I am living proof that YES! They do. You do not need to feel like you have to cut out entire food groups or have to restrict yourself anymore! Workout Wednesday: Full Body Tabata Workout

Hey there! Another one of my favorite days of the week! Workout Wednesday.

I’ve been LOVING teaching my fitness classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. This is almost exactly like the class I teach, but in shorter intervals. This particular circuit works the arms with strength moves, and the legs with strength/cardio moves. It is definitely a super sweaty one. Love it!

Each time through the circuit should take about 6 minutes. You can choose how many times you want to repeat the circuit based on how long you want to workout. You have probably seen most of these exercises before, but if not, look them up on YouTube OR ask me below in the comments.

Today I’d like to share with you a little workout I made to help my 10 day Fitness & Meal Challenge group. This group was a ton of fun to lead and I loved giving them different workouts to do. This is a particular workout they did in the beginning and then again at the end to see if they could improve their time!

You should be able to complete this for 2 sets, with the Jumping Jacks & Butt kicks in between to give you the cardio aspect of the workout. This isn’t a long workout by any means so it’s just a nice workout when you are pressed for time, or just need a quick strength circuit after cardio.
