Tasty Tuesday: Chicken Stuffed Sweet Potatoes

Chicken Stuffed Sweet Potatoes! You are gonna love this recipe! This is for sure once of my most favorite things I’ve been making- It’s now become a regular thing on my menu. It’s a plus that they are super easy! I actually first saw this recipe from Super Healthy Kids and thought it sounded good, so I slightly adapted it from there.

Motivation Monday

Happy Monday!

A good chance to start an awesome week! How are you feeling this week? I am a high school varsity sports coach and my first day of preseason is starting today! I am ready to go and ready to motivate a group of young women.

So- what does it take to motivate you? Do you depend on external sources or do you feel like you have enough to motivate yourself. For me- I would say its a bit of both, but I try to remember to let myself be my main motivation. I do look up to others (fitness and business ladies) and try to see them as motivation for myself and NOT play a comparison game. That’s not fun- and can really lead to destructive behavior instead of healthy behaviors. I know that I am different from any of them, and I have unique things to offer. There isn’t a need to be another cookie cutter version- be yourself! That can be difficult these days with the constant media and everything being in your face, but should be a reminder that YOU have a lot to offer others!

Have a great day, fit friends!

Friday Link Up- Spring!

Yay Friday! Today I get to link up with other awesome people in our Friday Link-Up.

This week, we are talking about Spring Time!

Oh spring, I’m ready for you!

This winter seems to be long and brutal and I’m ready for some sunshine and warm weather. Since I’ve moved to the eastern shore, getting to the point where you can walk the boardwalk comfortably or get on the beach is like the best time in the world! And trust me- everyone else feels that way too!

Things I’m Looking Forward to in Spring:

  • Running outside comfortably in a tank top and shorts. My favorite!
  • Boardwalk/beach time, of course. What a pretty sight!

  • Not wearing a coat outside. For some reason walking outside and it just being warm is a happy thought!
  • Ice cream/froyo dates!

Spring means one step closer to SUMMER and being at the beach all day! Basically any activity I can do outside in good weather is fine by me! Kayaking being a favorite of mine!

This week, we are talking about A Day in our Life!

We have really crazy work schedules, now week is EVER the same- so our times really this, but I gave ranges of what I do each week. I swear one day I’ll have a normal schedule. Maybe.

7-8ish am-Generally my husband and I workout in the morning before we go to work. It’s basically the only time we have to do so. It’s then or never pretty much!

2015-03-07 06.12.22

8:00am- eat breakfast! (YAY!) get ready for work, get to work and do my projects for the day.

2015-01-19 09.48.41

1:30pm- finally get to eat lunch! I feel like I wait forever to eat my lunch every day (yes I know I have a problem lol!)

~4:00- teach a fitness class to co workers or leave my first job, relax for an hour or two before I get to my next one (working at a gym). This is a class we did the other day!

5:30 pm cook dinner OR get to 2nd job…work, obviously.

11:00pm is bedtime if I work at night OR i try to get to bed much sooner. I hate working so late because I love to be in bed early to relax or read, but it is what it is right now.

That’s about it during the work week. We sort of run around all crazy but we get a little relaxation on the weekends.

Motivation Monday

Hey there! I know it might be a rough morning, the day after the Super Bowl is always a tough one to go back to the norm! 🙂

My motivation quote of the week is this:

Untitled (15)

This couldn’t be more true for the time we are in now. It’s February and our yearly goals might already be taking a back burner, but the trick is to keep them in focus and never give up.

Your own personal journey is most likely going to take a lot of set backs before you really get to see it go in the right direction. Wouldn’t you like to look back at yourself in a year and think- I’m SO glad I didn’t give up at that point in my life, look at where I am now!

  • Do you have any weekly, or monthly goals?

Last Things Thursday

Some things I’m loving this week!

New Workout Move

As I’m creating new workout moves for clients– I love this one! This is an awesome move! It’s called a Tricep Dip & Kick. With one leg in the air, dip down. A few of these and your arms will be burning!

Being Goofy and Flexing!

I’m proud to see my muscles growing with my new workout program. It has me lifting heavy and I really like it!

Favorite Treat:

This delicious brownie batter donut from Dunkin! Well worth it!

New Mani:
I got to try a Jamberry nail ans chose to do an accent nail.  I really like how it turned out! I see some more of these in my future.
